Remember Joy? Let's Bring Her Back

In June, we spent the month talking about joy. As summer ends, it’s time to revisit this important topic. In the chaos of caretaking, managing summer fun, and keeping everyone afloat, joy often slides to the bottom of the list—or disappears entirely.
Shared joy—especially with your children, partner, or friends—deepens our connection with one another. It helps you show up as the calm, loving version of yourself rather than the overwhelmed or reactive one. It also gives those in your life a model for emotional resilience and the permission to enjoy life.
Joy is a powerful resilience tool. It doesn’t mean life is perfect; it means you allow lightness within the mess. That’s resilience. When you cultivate joy, you create an emotional and energetic buffer for the hard stuff.
From an energy healing perspective, when joy goes missing, your Biofield begins to show signs of depletion and distortion. It cannot filter effectively, especially around the heart and throat zones—the energetic centers for emotional expression and connection.
And remember, joy isn’t about toxic positivity. It’s not a fake smile when everything feels heavy. It means:
Making space for what delights you, even briefly
Giving yourself permission to laugh
Allowing lightness to coexist with the hard
Tuning into your true desires, not just your to-do list
Reframe Support As Fuel
Taking time to recharge isn’t stepping away from your family—it’s investing in your ability to be fully present and joyful with them. Sound and energy work can help you tune back into your own frequency—the part of you that exists beyond your roles. While being a mom is a huge part of who you are, it’s not all of who you are.
As you reconnect with your deeper self, life becomes lighter. You begin to say yes to what matters—and no to what doesn’t. You rediscover joy and ease within the life you already have.
And that shift? It ripples outward to your children, your partner, your friends, and your community.
Mini Practice: Joy Tap
Purpose: To anchor joyful moments into your energy system so they’re easier to return to—especially on hard days. This technique helps energetically “bookmark” genuine happiness.
How To:
When you experience a moment of real joy—laughter with your kids, peaceful stillness, a heartwarming interaction—pause.
Gently tap the spot between your eyebrows (your Third Eye). This connects to the Governing Meridian and Third Eye Chakra, supporting clarity, insight, and emotional balance.
Smile softly and let yourself feel the joy again. Imagine the memory imprinting in your system like a photo placed gently on a shelf.
Take a deep breath to seal it in.
When To Do It:
In real-time, during moments of peace or delight
In reflection, recalling joyful memories when you need an emotional lift
This practice helps you build a reservoir of joy—one small moment at a time.

Embracing Joy in Everyday Life
Joy is not just a fleeting emotion; it’s a state of being that can be cultivated daily. To embrace joy, consider these simple practices:
1. Start Your Day with Gratitude
Begin each day by acknowledging three things you are grateful for. This sets a positive tone and opens your heart to joy.
2. Create Joyful Rituals
Incorporate small rituals into your daily routine. Whether it’s sipping your favorite tea or taking a moment to enjoy nature, these rituals can enhance your sense of joy.
3. Connect with Others
Reach out to friends or family members. Share a laugh or a meaningful conversation. Connection is a vital component of joy.
4. Engage in Creative Activities
Allow yourself to be creative. Whether it’s painting, writing, or dancing, engaging in creative activities can spark joy and fulfillment.
5. Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness helps you stay present. When you focus on the here and now, you can appreciate the small joys that life offers.
By integrating these practices into your life, you can foster a deeper connection with joy. Remember, joy is not just an emotion; it’s a way of living. Embrace it fully, and watch how it transforms your life.
In conclusion, reconnecting with joy is essential for emotional resilience and overall well-being. As you embark on this journey, remember to be gentle with yourself. Joy is waiting for you, ready to be rediscovered.
