Last week, we explored reclaiming your center and I gave you some gentle reminders and a mini practice that ground and re-centers the body and energy systems, releases energetic congestion and stress, and supports emotional release and clarity. Your Energy’s Not Gone - It’s Just on Vacation
I don’t know about you, but this is the time of summer when I start worrying about getting in as much fun as we possibly can before school starts, wondering when the school is finally going to release their supply lists, thinking about the need to audit my daughter’s clothing and shoes to see what needs to be purchased before the school year starts, and realizing I haven’t made that before school hair appointment yet! It’s also the time of year when we look around the yard and realize we have very little time left before the rainy season hits and we have to get some yard work done.

Summer never seems to be long enough and there is always SOMETHING that needs doing, particularly at this point in the summer.
If you are also feeling this way, let’s take a breath.
Mid-Summer Energy Audit
Now that we’ve taken that breath, let’s do a simple exercise to notice what drains and resorts our energy so we can make intentional shifts without needing a total life overhaul.
Name What Drains You – Open your journal or a note on your phone. List the people, tasks, habits, or environment that leaves you feeling depleted. Be honest–some may surprise you! Important: if you are naming people on this list, be sure to place this in a location where they can’t find it. We don’t want others to feel bad, we just want to name what is draining us for our own purposes.
Name What Restores You – Write down what genuinely recharges you. Think simple and personal: early mornings to yourself, alone time, walks in nature, listening to music, creative play, doing nothing, art.
Adjust Your Energy Budget – Look at both lists. Choose one small shift to make this week.
Can you say “no” to something that drains you?
Can you ask for help or let something wait?
Can you cave out just 10 minutes for something that fills your tank?
🌀 Small shift ideas: Batch small errands or ask someone else to run the errands for you, use audio texts to connect instead of long calls, say yes to a 10-minute rest instead of scrolling.
Mini Practice: 3-Minute Energy Reset
Hook-Up – Reconnects your central energy channels and brings grounding and focus.
Place one finger in your belly button and one between your eyebrows.
Gently press in and lift both points.
Breathe slowly for 15–30 seconds.
A sigh, yawn, or shift is a great sign - it means it’s working
Triple Warmer / Spleen Hug – Calms overwhelm and supports energy reserves.
Place your right hand under your left armpit (over your rib cage).
Rest your left hand on the back of your right elbow.
Inhale deeply and hold as long as it feels soothing.
Zip-Up – Protects your energy field and boosts clarity.
Place a hand at your pubic bone. Inhale as you slowly trace your hand up the center of your body to your lower lip.
“Zip up” this energetic boundary 2–3 times. Pretend to lock it at your lips with a key.
✨ This can be done daily—or anytime your energy feels porous, foggy, or reactive.
When To Do It:
Use this when you feel off, overwhelmed, or in need of a quick energetic “tune-up.”
