Move Your Energy, Shift Your Mood

Earlier this month, we covered how to reignite your spark and clear emotional static. Now it’s time to move—literally and energetically. This week, we’re exploring how physical and energetic movement work together to get your energy flowing and your mood lifted.


When energy gets stagnant, so does everything else: your thoughts, your creativity, even your motivation. You don’t have to overhaul your lifestyle to feel better—just a few simple shifts can create a ripple effect of renewal.


Move Your Energy, Shift Your Mood

Think about the last time you felt stuck—emotionally, mentally, maybe even physically. Did it also feel heavy, foggy, or like your feet were dragging? That’s often your energy field calling for movement.


Energy is meant to flow. When it gets blocked or sluggish, it can impact everything from your focus to your mood. One of the fastest ways to shift your internal state is by getting your energy moving.


That doesn’t mean you need a gym membership or a major workout, though those can be great. Gentle movement, breath, and intention can work wonders. Even something as simple as walking barefoot outside or tracing figure 8s with your hands can help get things unstuck.

Mini Practice: Move Your Energy

  • Stand or sit comfortably.

  • Rub your hands together quickly until you feel some warmth.

  • Begin tracing large, horizontal figure 8s in the air in front of you with both hands.

  • Move your arms in wide, flowing motions as if you’re drawing an infinity sign.

  • Breathe deeply and focus on the rhythm of the movement.

  • Do this for 1–2 minutes and notice how your energy starts to shift.


Sometimes even this is too much. If that’s the case - sit quietly and perform these activities in your minds-eye. Use this as a meditation for as many days as you need until you feel ready to do it as a physical activity.
